Local Woman Opens Accountancy Practice
(Great Falls, April 16th, 2002) – Wendy J. Weissman, CPA, today announced the opening of her accounting and business consulting practice here. Weissman is accepting new clients at her office at 1015 1st Avenue North, Suite 102, over the phone at 454-8988 or through email at wendy@weissman.com.
Weissman, a board licensed Certified Public Accountant in both Montana and Maryland, performs tax and financial statement preparation, as well as bookkeeping and payroll services. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware and holds an Associate degree in Insurance Services.
Prior to opening her own practice, Weissman was the Comptroller of the YWCA of Great Falls and Adjunct Instructor of Accounting at the University of Great Falls. Weissman moved to Great Falls in 1997 from Baltimore, MD, where she was the Senior Accountant for Agency Insurance Company, an automobile insurance carrier.
“Because I operate a small, individual office, I can afford to charge less than the bigger firms in town for the same services.” Weissman said. “I am excited about the opportunity to offer local small businesses quality accounting and tax consultation at a reasonable rate.”
Weissman, the current treasurer of the Montana chapter of Hadassah and the past treasurer of the Junior League of Great Falls, is also an accomplished musician. She has played clarinet for the Great Falls Symphony and is a current member of the Great Falls Municipal Band and the University of Great Falls Band.
